Special event for students who love to write or are keen to learn.

Aimed at 13+ age students, HB Williams Memorial Library is running a Teen Writers Hub where students can develop their writing with the opportunity to share their work with others.  They will be able to give each other constructive feedback in a safe space and discuss all things writing.

As an added bonus we have an amazing opportunity for the members of the Teen Writers Hub to meet with our special guest, celebrated local author Witi Ihimaera.  Witi will join our first Teen Writers Hub session in term four for “Witi Unwrapped”, what is this you ask?  Let us tell you.

Witi Ihimaera invites local rangatahi to join him for a fun-filled 360 interview.  Put Witi under the microscope to extract what you want to know about writing.  Who will roast who?  Expect a few laughs and a lot of learning, as one of Aotearoa’s most beloved and well known authors, fences words with the writers of the future.

To be a part of this amazing opportunity students must attend a Teen Writers Hub session to receive an invite to this special event.  Teen Writers Hub workshops run every Friday afternoon, from 3.30pm – 5.00pm during the school term.

See you there!
