From Monday 28 September, the HB Williams Memorial Library is trialling something new, the Bright Street doors will be the only entrance for visitors. This will make it easier to find services as people walk in and support the safety of our staff.
The library remains open and all library services, programmes and opening hours will continue as usual. Customers will enter and exit through our main entrance at 34 Bright Street.
The Peel Street doors will remain as an emergency exit with a handy book drop-off slot. A new mural will also brighten the space, while directing users to the ‘Bright side’ of the library.
People who usually come in via Peel Street have an easy route through Treble Court. There’s no loss of service. All library services continue as normal during the trial.
