Write a poem based around the theme “Ka mahuta a Matariki i te pae, ka mahuta ō tatou tūmanako ki te tau | When Matariki rises above the horizon, our aspirations rise to the year ahead”. Entrants must be living in the Te Tairawhiti Gisborne District region.  4. There is no word limit but entries must be suitable to be printed and displayed in the library.  5. Deadline for entries is 11.59pm June 30, 2024.  Entries submitted after this time will not be accepted.  6. Online entries will be acknowledged upon submission.  7. Participants may enter more than one entry but no more than five. 8. Winners will be announced on Friday July 5, 2024.  9. It is at HB Williams Memorial Libraries discretion to exclude any inappropriate entries.  10. HB Williams Memorial Library’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

No, only Gisborne District residents (within the rateable district limits) may enter.
